Müller on the first Whitecaps game: “Set your alarm and be there”

Munich. Following his move to the Vancouver Whitecaps, Thomas Müller expects to make his debut in the club's next home game. "My first game will be on August 17th. In Germany, it'll be at 3 a.m. on August 18th. So, set your alarm and be there," Müller said in an interview published by the Canadian platform "OneSoccer."
Above all, he's looking forward to the sporting challenge in his new surroundings. "The team has performed superbly and is almost at the top of the table," Müller said of the second-place team in Major League Soccer's Western Conference. "Anyone who knows me knows I'm eager to win titles." It's a new experience for him that the championship will be decided in the playoffs.
After signing with the Vancouver Whitecaps, the 2014 World Cup winner is expected back at his new club next Wednesday (August 13), and is scheduled to complete his first training session the following day. On August 17 (local time), Vancouver will face Houston Dynamo FC at home.
"For me, this is an adventure. I'm also looking forward to the country, I'm looking forward to Canada," Müller said.
